Vibhav is a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland in the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE). Their research interests focus on the intersection of video games, virtual reality, machine learning and mental health. Specifically, Vibhav is interested in using games and virtual reality as a tool for understanding and assessing mental disorders like anxiety and depression. Vibhav’s PhD project investigates the use of machine learning techniques to analyse in-game player behaviours in order to predict anxiety levels. Vibhav’s ultimate goal is to develop innovative interventions that leverage the power of video games for the assessment of mental disorders, and to improve the lives of those who suffer from mental health disorders.
