Social Visual Attention & Cognitive Ageing

Social connection is a critical predictor of broader wellbeing. This study aims to understand the cognitive mechanisms that subserve social connection, particularly the core components such as social visual attention. This study will also assess whether and how these core components change as we age into older adulthood.

Participation in this study will involve completion of some basic computerised and pen-and-paper cognition assessments as well as some self-report surveys. Participation will take one-hour and is conducted at the University of Queensland, where complimentary parking is available. You will receive a $20.00 Coles/Myers Gift card as a thank you for your time.

To be eligible you must:

1. Be aged 60+
2. Be a native English speaker, or have high level of English proficiency
3. Have normal or corrected to normal (i.e., with glasses) vision
