Kate McKay is a third-year PhD student at the University of Queensland in the School of Psychology. In their present work, they investigate attention shifts induced by visual social cues and test mechanistic explanations of how those shifts are affected by normal adult ageing. They are particularly interested in social perceptual decision making, social attention, and cognitive ageing. Their work is published in top journals including Psychological Bulletin and The Journals of Gerontology Series B: Psychological Sciences.
